USS Ranger by Ivan Berryman. Two F14 Tomcats of VF-1 pass in close formation over the stern of the veteran USS Ranger (CV-61) |
USS Ranger by Randall Wilson The USS Ranger (CV-4), the U.S. Navy's first purpose-built aircraft carrier, operated primarily in the Atlantic Ocean during World War II because it was considered too slow and lightly armored for Pacific fleet combat. It played a critical role in the Atlantic, supporting Operation Torch and performing anti-submarine patrols. Cranston Fine Arts have arranged with the artist Randall Wilson to produce a low cost limited edition of 100 prints only. Numbered only, not signed. A canvas edition also available. |
Night Strike by Stan Stokes. The A-6 Intruder has had a long and effective career as the Navys primary attack plane. A-6s were used in Vietnam and still were effective during Desert Storm, as the avionics on these aircraft have been constantly upgraded over the years. In Stans painting an A-6 departs the USS Ranger. |
